You can find a full line of products: artisan soaps, shower steamers, body wash, and butter cream lotions. If you’ve ever had trouble getting your kiddo into the tub, you can even pick up a popsicle- shaped soap or cupcake soap to have them racing for bath time! Not only are these amazingly fun to look at and use, but they are also perfect for anyone with sensitive skin. This family run business is based in Bloomfield, Connecticut, but Tanya reaches across the globe to source the best ingredients to put in her products.

What makes your products special?
Our products are special because we tried to make them as whimsical as possible while also making sure that they are safe for sensitive skin. Everyone deserves a self-care moment and we are big advocates of self-care; even if you only have ten minutes in the shower.
What inspired you to open a shop?
I am a mom first and my youngest son got sick in 2016. He was eventually diagnosed with Lyme and his immune system was compromised due to it. We started going down the path of eating organic and grass-fed food. We incorporated these changes as a family. While going through this stressful time one of my co-workers gifted me a couple bars of Beekman’s Goat Milk soap. I was absolutely hooked. Not only was it THE best showering experience ever; I also noticed a change in our skin, specifically my son’s. I started researching everything skin related and I also started overdosing on soaping videos. Of course, I watched Anne Marie, aka The Soap Queen, Kenny from Royal Appleberry, Nikkie from Bubble Babez, and Katie from Royalty Soaps. In my opinion they are some of the best inspirations in this business! We formed our business officially in January 2021 and have been going ever since.
What is your favorite Pepper Jane ingredient?
We absolutely LOVE Pepper Jane’s fragrances. They smell perfect and work well in our soaps. I have two favorite scents: Bibbidy Bobbidy Boo and Fresh Peach. You can’t go wrong with either one!
Why do you like to shop with Pepper Jane?
We shop with Pepper Jane because the scents are all true to the names. If you order Banana Pudding you can trust it will smell just like it. We also feel Pepper Jane’s fragrances are superior. We test our products on individuals with allergies, staying within the suggested usage rates, and to date have had no reactions. Fragrance oils sometimes get a bad rap, but quality and quantity really do matter.
What would improve your experience of shopping on the Pepper Jane Colors and Scents website or Etsy shop?
I wouldn’t change a thing about my experience. The scents are top notch and shipping times are quick!
